Documents Required for Self-Drive Car Rental in Hyderabad
Published 10 August 2026 · 4 min read
Before you can book a self-drive car in Hyderabad, every rental platform — including Infila — needs to verify who's actually going to be driving. This is a one-time KYC (Know Your Customer) check, not something you repeat on every booking.
What you need
- A valid driving licence (learner licences are not accepted — it needs to be a full licence valid for the vehicle class you're renting).
- A government-issued photo ID for identity verification — Aadhaar, PAN or passport.
Upload clear photos of both documents during signup on the Infila app or website. Verification is done once; after that, you can book instantly for future trips without submitting documents again.
Why KYC matters
KYC verification protects both sides: it confirms you're legally allowed to drive the car, and it gives the platform a verified identity on file in case of an accident, traffic violation, or dispute during the rental period.
What happens after verification
Once your KYC is approved, you can search and book any available car by location, date and time. A refundable security deposit is collected separately at pickup — this is unrelated to the KYC documents and is released after the car is returned in good condition.
